The hash floor, in 88 seconds

The short version: this is the hash floor as a picture that moves. One diagram builds through it. Honest hash runs across the bottom and money a day runs up the side. A flat line is what the chain pays. A rising line is the attacker’s rent. The floor is where they cross. After that come the four floors against today’s 42.5 petahash, the two difficulty windows, and the coinbase lock.

Everything on screen comes from the post’s numbers and nothing else. The voice is synthetic and the picture is drawn by code. The clankers made it from the post, and we checked it frame by frame. It is our first explainer. The next ones follow the same rule: the voice says it, the picture shows it, and there is one diagram to take away.

The table, the inputs and the method are in the post. Corrections welcome.
